Second time's the charm, right?
Two and three-quarter years ago, I attempted a 101 Things list. I got about 30 items done on it. I have to admit that it was a horrible attempt. A large portion of my original list was related to my birthwork career, which unfortunately has taken a major detour for a million reasons. So, here I go. Trying it again. This time I tried to keep it much more reasonable.
My plan is to do a monthly update on my progress. And there's a little link up there at the top to my list.
The Mission: Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.
The Criteria: Tasks must be specific with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined.
Why 1001 Days? Many people have created lists in the past – frequently simple goals such as new year’s resolutions. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organizing and timing some tasks such as overseas trips or outdoor activities.
